Privacy Policy

1. The short version

We do not collect your name, your email, your IP address, or any other personally identifying information. The game runs in your browser. Your scores, streaks, and current puzzle progress are stored on your device using localStorage - they never leave it.

2. What we store locally

• Game state - your current daily/hourly puzzle, the guesses you've made, and whether you've solved it. Required so refreshing does not make you start over.
• Statistics - games played, win percentage, current streak, longest streak, guess distribution. Used only to render your stats screen.
• Preferences - your last selected mode, length, theme, font, tile shape, animation speed, and dark mode setting. Used to keep the game looking the way you left it.

Everything above lives in your browser's local storage. You can clear it at any time through your browser's privacy settings; doing so will reset stats and preferences.

3. What we do not collect

• We do not run analytics or third-party tracking scripts.
• We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
• We do not have user accounts, sign-in, or social linking.
• We do not share or sell anything, because we have nothing to share or sell.

4. Fonts & static assets

The game loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches a font file, Google may log standard request data per its own privacy policy. We do not receive that data and have no way to associate it with your gameplay.

5. Children

Foodle is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no personal information whatsoever, no special protections under COPPA, GDPR-K, or similar regimes are triggered.

6. Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and explain what's new in plain language.
