foodle hourly game
Foodle Hourly is for the in-between moments. At the top of every clock hour we swap in a new food word - a quick, time-boxed puzzle that fits between everything else you're doing. Solve it in your coffee break, lose it in your inbox, come back at the top of the next hour and try again.
What hourly is good for
Snack-sized stakes
Twenty-four chances to win every day. Miss one? The next round is sixty minutes away.
Synced worldwide
Everyone in your time zone gets the same word at the same hour. Texting "did you get 3pm?" actually makes sense.
Independent stats
Your hourly streak is tracked separately from daily - no need to choose. Build both.
The hourly rhythm
The hourly mode is intentionally different from daily. Daily rewards patience; hourly rewards presence. You either pick it up in the next sixty minutes or you don't. The countdown above the board ticks down to the next swap.
Each hour is its own seed, each length is its own puzzle, and hints behave the same as daily: three available, each costs a remaining guess.
How to win more often, faster
- Pick one length and stick with it. Switching boards mid-hour shortens your effective time per puzzle.
- Have a starter you trust. Use the same opener every hour and your second guess gets faster.
- Time-box the hint. If you are not making progress by guess three, take a hint.
Hourly FAQ
What happens at the top of the hour?
The puzzle resets to a brand-new word and you get fresh guesses.
Can I play multiple hourly puzzles at once?
You can switch lengths and play 5-, 6-, and 7-letter puzzles in the same hour. Each is its own puzzle.
Does midnight count as daily and hourly?
Yes - the midnight hour gets a fresh hourly word, and the daily word also flips at midnight.
